Golden Bowls of Incense

And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. (Revelation 5:8)

Revelation chapter 4 to 6 was what I read for my daily devotion yesterday. I was reading the passage out loud. To my own surprise, the moment I got to the above verse, I started crying. And I couldn't stop. Our prayers are so endearing to God that they're placed in golden bowls held by the elders in front of the glorious Lamb. He does not despise or ignore any of them.

This is the first time I've gotten so into Revelation. I think reading out loud helps. I used to think of Revelation as an old guy's mumble of his own vision, which no one understands. As I read the passages out loud and picture them inside my head, however, the book became alive. I realized all of a sudden that it was such a visual book. I still don't understand it, but I see and feel the glory of God. And the best of all is that this glorious God cares about even our tiniest prayers. For this, I thank you, Lord.

After reading the passage, the song Worthy Is the Lamb is now stuck in my head.

他既拿了書卷，四活物和二十四位長老，就俯伏在羔羊面前，各拿著琴，和盛滿了香的金爐，這香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。（啟示錄5:8）

昨天讀經讀到啟示錄四到六章。唸出聲音的讀。當我讀到上面這一節時，竟然開始哭，而且停不下來。我們的禱告在神的眼中是這麼寶貴，它們被放在金爐中，由長老拿著俯伏在榮耀的羔羊前。祂不輕看或忽視我們任何的禱告。

這是我第一次對啟示錄有感覺，我想，唸出聲音是有幫助的。以前，我總覺得啟示錄是一個老人在講述自己的異象，別人都無法了解，然而，當我唸出來，並在腦中想像他描述景象時，這本書就活了起來，我突然發現這實在是一本充滿圖象的書。我還是不了解，可是我看到也感覺到神的榮耀。最好的，是這位榮耀的神在乎我們最微小的禱告。感謝主。

讀完那一段之後，這首歌就一直縈繞在我腦中。
