- I know. Visiting NYC three weekends in a row is kind of crazy.
- I have very bad luck riding the Megabus recently. I was always surrounded by groups of people who talked all the way on the bus. I need to learn the secret of picking seats. Or maybe I should bring earplugs next time.
- First-time restaurants: Shilla Korean Restaurant (squid!), 3 Star Diner, Tracks Raw Bar & Grill (quesadilla with guacamole!), Nyonya, Nathan's (french fries with cheese and chili!), Jackson Hole, Hi-Life, Sarabeth's
- Milk Bar's Crack Pie was so good.
- Exhibitions saw: AIPAD (photo art fair) @ Park Avenue Armory, Pompeii the Exhibit @ Discovery Time Square, Rooms with a View @ the Met, After the Gold Rush @ the Met.
- Photo collage is certainly one of the coolest art forms.
- The Pompeii exhibition was awesome-- very informative, well-organized, and, most importantly, powerful.
- We worshiped with the song "Our God Is Greater" for two consecutive Sundays. The line "out of the ashes we rise" was given a new visual interpretation in my head after I saw the body casts at the Pompeii exhibition.
- Discovery Times Square has been putting up great shows. The Tutankhamun show and the Pompeii show were both good. Harry Potter and the Dead Sea Scrolls are coming up. I don't want to miss either of them.
- New York Aquarium wasn't big, but it brought surprises, as all aquariums do. Walruses are impressively huge.
- Finally walked the entire Brooklyn Bridge! Should do it again when it gets warmer.
- I still complain about the closing of the Barnes & Noble at 65th Street. The one at 83rd Street has become the substitute.
- Went to my first double bass recital. Cool instrument.
- Were there moments when you felt like you shouldn't have given up something? It happens to me sometimes when I'm in a concert. What if I didn't give up bassoon?
- "The Andy Monument" is standing at the northwest corner of Union Square for six months. I paid Mr. Andy a visit.
- There was a pillow fight at Union Square. Feathers were flying all over. Some of them even traveled by trains.
- Saw some pretty crocus flowers at the farmer's market. I would have gotten a pot if I didn't have to bring it back to Philly.
- It was simply nice hanging out with good friends.
