What does it mean that the whole world is a global village? It means that people get to travel to wherever they want without too much pain. It means that information spreads fast and people get to stay in touch easily. It also means that a volcanic eruption in Iceland could ruin a girl's weekend date in Greece.
Exactly. My much-anticipated weekend trip with Chia-chi is cancelled because her flight got cancelled due to the volcanic eruption. Never had I thought that we'd one day become victims of volcanic ash! Okay, the word "victim" is probably too strong, but I have to say that I do feel disappointed. First of all, we haven't seen each other in years; second, we were planning on going to the Samaria Gorge, the longest gorge in Europe. Bummer, bummer, BUMMER! Well, I hope God has a good reason for the volcano eruption. Now that this trip has gone with the wind, I'm looking forward to my Athens trip with Sunshine P. I'm sure it's gonna be awesome!
Life on Crete has been good so far. I had jetlag the first few days, but it's getting better. I'm sharing room with Lily again this year. I guess I've gotten so comfortable with her that Mandarin slipped out of my mouth the other day while I was half awake as if she should have understood. I felt so stupid after realizing it, haha. Anyways, gotta go to sleep. Our breakfast time is 6:30! Can you imagine me getting up everyday at 6:00???

沒錯。我超級期待跟佳其的週末旅遊取消了，原因就是冰島火山爆發以至於她的飛機停飛。怎麼也沒想到我們也有成為火山灰受災戶的一天！好啦，說「受災戶」可能有點誇張，可是還真得有點失望，首先，我們已經好久沒見面了，其次，我們本來計畫去走薩馬利亞峽谷，這是全歐洲最長的峽谷。太掃興了、太掃興了！上帝啊祢是不是可以給我一個讓火山在此時爆發的好理由？既然這趟行程隨風而逝，我也只好開始期待跟Sunshine P在雅典的旅遊了，一定會很棒的！
目前在克里特島的生活都好。我前幾天有時差，不過已經漸漸調過來了。今年我還是跟Lily一起住，感覺上我已經很習慣她的存在了，以致於前幾天我在半夢半醒間，竟然跟她說中文！當我意識到以後，真是覺得自己很白痴，哈哈。好了，該睡了。我們的早餐時間是六點半！你可以想像我每天六點起床嗎？？？
