Movies I Saw, 2011 (1)

As you will probably notice, the movies I saw in the past four months fall into two categories-- Oscar movies and zombie movies. Yes, zombie movies, however unlikely it may seem. My friend, Heather, started this "Zombie Night" thing where a group of people watch zombie movies together every week. I've been joining it since early April and have watched more zombie movies in one month than my entire life. My knowledge about zombies have grown tremendously. I have to admit that I'm still not into zombie movies, but I enjoy our movie nights together.

你可能會注意到，這四個月以來，我看的電影可以歸為兩大類——奧斯卡片及殭屍片。沒錯，殭屍片，雖然感覺上極不可能。我的一個朋友舉辦了這個「殭屍之夜」，邀請好些朋友每個星期到她家看殭屍片，我從四月初開始加入，這一個月之內，我看的殭屍片數目已經超過了過去這輩子所看的所有殭屍片了，對於殭屍的了解度也大大增加。我必須承認自己還是不怎麼喜歡殭屍片，不過我喜歡我們的電影之夜。

The King's Speech／王者之聲(2010) Based on the true story of King George VI of England. Colin Firth did a great job on portraying the stammered king. I think this is the most impressive role he's ever played. Other actors and actresses also added to the awesomeness of the film. Lots of them actually looked a lot like the real people. There weren't many ups and downs in the story, but every small detail added to the end speech that brought out my tears. Oh, and the music (Beethoven, Symphony No. 7, Allegretto) went with the speech perfectly! In fact, I loved the soundtrack of the entire movie. Here is the actual speech the king made in 1939.／根據英國國王喬治六世的真實故事改編。柯林．弗斯演口吃的國王演得很出色，就我自己而言，這是他演過最棒的角色了。其他的演員也都很棒，其實很多角色的長相都很像實際的人呢！電影劇情沒有太大的高低起伏，不過每個小細節累積起來，最後的演講還是讓我哭了。還有，演講時的配樂（貝多芬第七號交響曲）真是配得太完美了！事實上，整齣電影的配樂都好棒。這裡有Youtube上找到的真的國王於1939年的演講喔。

Black Swan／黑天鵝(2010) Natalie Portman was amazing. I liked the many metaphors and symbols in the film, especially the ones that showed her transformation into a swan.／娜塔莉．波曼演得真好。我很喜歡電影裡的許多比喻與象徵，尤其是那些暗示她轉變為天鵝的象徵手法。
The Social Network／社群網戰(2010) I liked the way it went back and forth between the two time periods. Very fast-paced, exactly like the internet world.／前後插敘的方式處理得很好，步調很快，就像網路世界一般。

Blood Creek／鬼哭人嚎(2009) Zombie movie. The black-and-white scene in the beginning gave me a good first impression. I liked the historical allusions.／殭屍片。片名的中文翻譯實在有點無言。一開始的黑白拍攝手法給我好的第一印象，使用神祕典故的方式也很吸引我。
True Grit／真實的勇氣(2010) I have to admit that I had a hard time understanding the strong southern accent, which did distract me from the flow of the story. The music caught my attention at the very first moment though. It had a distinguishing feature but also fitted very well with the scenes. A very typical American western film. It somehow reminded me of "Cold Mountain."／我必須承認，片中極重的南方口音好難懂啊！由於我必須花頭腦了解他們在講什麼，因此整個過程也影響了我觀看電影的流暢度。配樂倒是一開始就引起我的注意，它非常獨特，卻又與畫面非常契合。典型的美國西部片，不知為何，一直讓我想起「冷山」。
Zombie／殭屍(1979) Regardless of the storyline, the film was actually shot in an artistic way. The use of light and shadow was impressive.／先不提劇情，這部片其實有點藝術片的拍攝手法，非常善用光影及色彩。

Land of the Dead／活屍禁區(2005) It was my first zombie movie in a long time. If I remember correctly, the last one I saw was "I Am Legend," which was very different from this movie in both the shooting technique and the focus.／我好久以來看的第一部殭屍片，上一部應該是「我是傳奇」，不過兩者在呈現手法及焦點上有極大的不同。

Dead Men Walking／（？）(2005) OMG, it was so bad. There was no storyline, but only scenes of zombies eating people (very gross) and turning the whole prison into a zombie nest.／真是有夠爛，沒在台灣上映也是應該。沒有劇情，只有一幕幕噁心的殭屍吃人鏡頭，最後整個監獄的人都變成殭屍。
